Authorities at University of Wisconsin–Stout are investigating the death of Mason Douglas Barth, a man discovered on campus in what officials have described as an apparent accidental incident. The case has prompted a coordinated response from multiple local agencies as investigators work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
According to the UW–Stout Police Department, the man was found near Bowman Hall on the morning of May 3 at approximately 9 a.m. Emergency responders were dispatched immediately following the report. Despite efforts by first responders, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have confirmed that Mason Douglas Barth was not a current member of the university community. At this time, no additional personal details have been publicly released as authorities prioritize the ongoing investigation and family notifications.
