Memphis, Tennessee police are investigating a deadly overnight shooting in the Orange Mound neighborhood that left one man dead and a woman in critical condition. The incident occurred shortly after midnight in the 800 block of Hamilton Street and remains under active investigation.
According to the Memphis Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call just after midnight. Upon arrival, they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Lee Mhoon. The female victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
At this time, investigators have not released details regarding a possible motive or what led up to the shooting. Police have also not confirmed whether the victims were specifically targeted. No suspect information has been released, and no arrests have been made as detectives continue to gather evidence and speak with potential witnesses.
