Conestoga High School Lockdown Today – Brief Lockdown Following Swatting Call; Police Confirm No Threat After Investigation

Lee’s Summit High School Lockdown Today - Following Reported Threat Prompts Swift Police Response

Conestoga High School in Tredyffrin, Pennsylvania, was placed on lockdown Monday morning after law enforcement received what officials later confirmed to be a swatting call, prompting an immediate and significant police response shortly after the start of the school day.

According to the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, officers responded around 8 a.m. after receiving a report suggesting an emergency situation at the school. As a precaution, the building was placed into lockdown while authorities conducted a rapid assessment of the threat. Additional police units were deployed to secure the area and ensure the safety of students and staff.

Within approximately one hour, officials determined that the report was not credible and confirmed that the situation was a swatting incident—a false emergency call intended to trigger an emergency response. Once the threat was ruled out, the lockdown was lifted and normal school operations resumed.

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that similar incidents involving other schools in the region are also under investigation. Authorities noted that these coordinated false reports have prompted increased law enforcement presence at schools across the county as a precautionary measure.

Officials also stated that students and staff at Conestoga High School and nearby schools, including Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School, were never in danger. The middle school had implemented a temporary restricted movement protocol due to its proximity to the high school during the response.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate the source of the swatting call and any related incidents in surrounding areas. Police have indicated that additional updates will be provided as the investigation develops.
