Kimeia A. Bennett, a 43-year-old resident of Uniontown, Alabama, tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning along U.S. Highway 80, leaving her community mourning a sudden and devastating loss.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred shortly before 4:00 a.m., approximately eight miles west of Selma. Preliminary findings indicate that Bennett was traveling along the highway when her vehicle left the roadway for reasons that remain unclear. The vehicle subsequently struck a guardrail and overturned multiple times before coming to rest off the road.
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene, but despite efforts to provide aid, Bennett was pronounced deceased due to the severity of her injuries.
