The Laketon community is grieving the devastating loss of Christopher Mason Grindle, 17, whose life was tragically cut short in a single-vehicle crash on the evening of April 29, 2026, in rural Wabash County.
According to authorities, emergency responders were dispatched shortly after 6:00 p.m. to County Road 700 West, just south of County Road 850 North, following reports of a serious collision. Preliminary investigations revealed that a 2013 Chevrolet Caprice traveling southbound left the roadway and struck a tree.
